Malaysia → Taiwan
Anyone who love to travel, but doesn't like having a super-packed schedule along the journey?
okay, it's *me*
There is always a thought in my mind that, to truly explore the culture of a country, I must stay there looooooooong enough.
So before my unilife comes to an end, I've decided to apply a student exchange program in Taiwan.
One month after the application, I have been successfully enrolled as an exchange student in National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taichung for one Fall semester.
I was so excited about everything over Taiwan, as I hadn't been there before.
But, but, but... one day before I departed, I felt nervous and anxious about all the uncertainties and loneliness over there. Mostly because I knew nobody and I was the only student exchanged to NCHU. When the day came, I felt so sad to leave my family.
My flight departed at 7.30 am on 25th Sept, and I reached Taipei Taoyuan Airport at about 12.30 pm.
First thing I did was to buy a new SIM card, as my sis told me that, you will be hardly find any SIM card seller outside the airport *she experienced that before*
After claimed my luggage, I went to buy the bus ticket down to Taichung city, which costs NTD 280.
The journey took me about 2.5 hours to reach Taichung Train Station, then I went to NCHU by taxi, just a few kilometers and it costed me NTD 125. I had no choice as my luggage and backpack were super duper heavy (20+5 kg).
I was so upset that, my room had been changed without prior notice and I had to go to hostel management to check where was my room changed to.
Sadness overwhelmed me when I called my family to tell them that I've safely arrived at my room. It would be so nice that if I didn't come to Taiwan, I will be watching drama with family so comfy at home *facepalming*
Here ended the first day in Taiwan.
No matter how the life here will be, I will have to experience them by myself.
May god bless me in the next 4 months.
